Wizards of the Coast to CANCEAL 5 Video Game Projects
Wizards of the Coast – A Hasbro Subsidiary
Originally a chain of game stores, Wizards of the Coast LLC is now a publisher of tabletop games based on fantasy and science fiction. Purchased by Hasbro in 1999, the company now operates solely as a Hasbro subsidiary.
Wizards of the Coast Announces Cancelation of Video Game Projects
Wizards of the Coast recently made the highly disappointing announcement that no less than five of its video game projects have been canceled. This announcement went a long way in killing all hopes that their very loyal fans have harbored for quite a while now.

In addition to the cancellation of the video game projects, Bloomberg reports that in order to implement its new gaming strategy for its products, Wizards of the Coast will be laying off up to 15 of its employees.
Is Baldur’s Gate 3 in Danger of being Shelved?
It is unclear how this new decision will affect future projects, as Baldur’s Gate 3, the only major upcoming game based on a Wizards of the Coast franchise, is still in active development and available for early access release.
It must be said that Wizards of the Coast never confirmed the rumored cancellations of any particular video game project, albeit their last major release was 2021’s Dungeons & Dragons: Dark Alliance.
There’s being a hush-now directive from the company, as the Wizards of the Coast development team have refused offering any comments on the “rumors”. However, we are determined to update you on recent developments as they unfold.
