Updated Teaser and Release Date for Payday 3

A recap of payday

Payday 2 is a first-person multiplayer shooter developed by Overkill Software and published by 505 Games. The 2011 game Payday: The Heist served as inspiration for the sequel which was released in August 2013 for PC, PS3, and Xbox 360. An updated version of the game, titled Crimewave Edition, was released for the PS4 and Xbox One in June 2015.

Anyone who has played Killing Floor 2, Hotline Miami 2, or Warhammer: Vermintide 2 will attest to Payday 2’s strength as a competitor in the same genre. Payday 2 for Switch was released in February of 2018 to overwhelmingly positive reviews and has remained popular since. Data from Steam Charts shows, for instance, that it has maintained a large player base of 36,000 daily players for more than a decade. In the annals of history, that will go down as a landmark event.

Payday 3 teaser and release date

The release date of Payday 3, the third installment in the popular co-op first-person shooter series, is drawing ever closer, but fans have had to be patient. No need to worry about a delay, as the 2023 release date was confirmed almost two years ago and is being reaffirmed here.

Starbreeze Studios and Prime Matter unveiled the game’s first teaser, which featured the four protagonists taking in views of the New York City skyline. The teaser reaffirms our confidence in the 2023 release date. As an added bonus, the game can now be added to one’s Steam wishlist.

New York City will serve as the setting for Payday 3 in a map that was released in October of 2021. Years after the events of Payday 2, players take control of the original gang members Dallas Hoxton Chains and Wolf.

While it has yet to be released, speculation has already begun on which platforms it will be compatible with. The response was, “The game will be available for PC and consoles.” This came as a complete shock, but I’m still holding out hope that it’ll be released for PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
