Offworld Industries releases the official trailer for the highly anticipated game inspired by the 1997 cult classic film.

Fans of the Starship Troopers franchise were recently treated to an exciting glimpse of what’s to come with the official trailer release of Starship Troopers: Extermination. The game, which is set for release on Steam in early 2023, promises to deliver an action-packed, first-person shooter experience that will transport players to the front lines of a galactic war against a hostile alien race.

The new trailer showcases the game’s impressive graphics and gives a glimpse of the different playable classes, including an assault unit, heavy infantry, and medic. The action is fast-paced and intense, with players battling waves of giant, insect-like creatures in a fight for survival.

Teamwork Rules in Starship Troopers: Extermination

In Starship Troopers: Extermination, no trooper stands alone. Your trusty Morita Assault Rifle and fellow Deep Space Vanguard Troopers will be your best allies while exploring the hostile surface of the planet Valaka.

Cooperate to achieve missions, obtain resources, develop and defend a base, and then escape to the scheduled extraction point as a team.

Cooperation is key in this game, as 12 players can team up in squads of four to defend the base, complete objectives, gather resources, and try to kill every bug in sight.

Players can choose from three playable classes – Assault, support, and Defense – to best suit their playstyle and support the rest of the squad. Construct walls, towers, ammo stations, and more using resources acquired from planetside refineries to build defenses.

You can advance through the ranks of the Deep Space Vanguard and acquire better weapons, armor, and abilities by using the class advancement system.

Expect Early Access Launch for Starship Troopers: Extermination

At the Early Access launch, players will encounter five unique bug types, including Drone, Warrior, Gunner, Plasma Grenadier, and Tiger Elite enemy Bugs, during planetside missions. Increasing Bug threat levels during missions will bring bigger and more dangerous enemies to the fight. With a massive map with five unique zones and swarm-based combat with hundreds of enemy Bugs on screen, the game delivers the sense of an overwhelming planetary war.

To defeat the Bug threat and reclaim the map, you must retake enemy bases and refineries, eliminate hives, and accomplish other optional objectives. The ‘Ping’ mechanism allows players to quickly and easily alert their teammates to danger, objectives, and other important information.

The game is set to release in early 2023 through early access, and the developer, Offworld Industries, wants players to get involved with this game as it develops.

At Early Access launch, an exciting and robust roadmap will be shared, with content already planned for 2023. Throughout Early Access, players can expect more weapons, an updated class leveling system, progression achievements, and unlockable skins for both weapons and armor. Additionally, vehicles and special call-in attacks, including massive orbital strikes, will be added to help during missions. On the enemy side, more bugs, flying enemies, and boss battles that require complex player coordination to accomplish will be added.

The full version of the game offers gamers an array of options to aid in the customization of their characters in a way that suits their playstyle. With Offworld Industries as the developer and publisher, Starship Troopers promises to be a thrilling and immersive co-op shooter game. Get instant access and start playing to join the fight against the Bug menace.
