What You should Know About GTA: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition Video Game

Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition brings together three iconic GTA stories into one classic collection for loyal Grand Theft Auto fans. You will get to play three of the franchise’s epic titles in “Grand Theft Auto III”, “Grand Theft Auto: Vice City”, and “Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas”.

All three games have been remastered with enhanced lighting, high-resolution detailed environment and textures provided by the Unreal Engine technology.

According to the developers the enhancements of the Definitive Edition are across-the-board including improved Grand Theft Auto V-style controls, draw distances and targeting amongst many other upgrades.

Just as a reminder, it’s worth taking a look back at what these GTA game titles were all about and promise to be in this generation.

  • Grand Theft Auto III (originally released in 2001)

The action begins at Liberty City for this one, where you have the key to the city and freedom to go carjacking literally unhindered by law enforcement (well almost). But Grand Theft Auto III is a – no guts, no glory video game that fans would be happy to play once more, especially now that it has been greatly upgraded for the Trilogy – The Definitive Edition.

  • Grand Theft Auto: Vice City (originally released in 2002)

This title takes you back to the 1980s where greasy Jerry curls and elaborate suits were a big deal. Tommy Vercetti takes center stage in this game. Out for vengeance, this game takes you through a journey of betrayal, relentless ambition, and violence, as you rise to the top echelon of the criminal underworld through merciless brute force.

  • Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas (originally released in 2004)

Set in the 1990s, Carl ‘CJ’ Johnson goes to San Andreas only to find a home in utter disrepair. A murdered mom, friends killed in mindless gang violence or doing time in the state penitentiary and a city overrun by drugs, prostitution, corruption, and wanton violence.

As if that’s not enough, CJ gets framed for murder by some dirty cops leaving him no other option, but to take the law into his own hands to save his fast depleting family while also taking control of his neighbor and the streets of San Andreas by extension. You get to experience the thrill of this 2004 title in the remastered GTA: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition.

All three games have been remastered to give you a whole new gaming experience. This is something that even the most nostalgic GTA fan out there can truly appreciate.
