With updated animations for Wraith’s Heirloom in Apex Legends Season 16, players can expect a more immersive gaming experience.
Apex Legends has been a staple in the battle royale genre since its release in 2019. With its unique cast of characters and fast-paced gameplay, the game has garnered a loyal fanbase that continues to grow with each new season. Recently, players have discovered that Respawn Entertainment, the developer and publisher of Apex Legends, has secretly updated Wraith’s Heirloom in Season 16.
For those unfamiliar with Heirlooms, they are collectible cosmetics that change the appearance of a character’s melee weapon. They are incredibly rare and can only be obtained by using Heirloom Shards, which can be earned by opening Apex Packs or purchasing them with real money. Wraith’s Kunai Knife was the first Heirloom to be made available in Apex Legends, and it has remained a fan favorite ever since.
Wraith's Heirloom Updated with New Animations
With the release of Season 16, players have noticed that Wraith’s Heirloom has been updated with a collection of new animations. These animations were recently highlighted in a YouTube video created by The Gaming Merchant, a popular Apex Legends content creator.
The video showcased Wraith throwing her Kunai Knife into the air, where it disappeared into the void before returning several seconds later.
After the animation, the Legend opened a folder displaying a supposed case file belonging to Wattson with a photo of Wattson and her stapled at the top of the file.
A letter that read “My favorite ghost”, can also be seen and this note alluded to the fact that at some point in time Wattson believed that Wraith was some sort of ghostly apparition.
Beyond these impressive animations, there were also ones showing Wraith wiping away sweat from her forehead and killing a fly with her blade. These animations add a new layer of depth and personality to Wraith’s character and make her Heirloom even more desirable for collectors.
Wraith's Kunai Knife Recolored in Orange
Apart from these animations, fans have also discovered what appears to be a possible recolor of Wraith’s Kunai Knife. This orange recolor of Wraith’s Kunai Knife is known as “Hope’s Dawn”. Fans of Apex Legends are familiar with the glowing blue color of Wraith’s Kunai Knife, but this melee weapon now has a new orange tint. Nevertheless, it is unclear how this new Kunai Knife recolor will be obtained and if it would be accessible in the battle royale.
Respawn did not include details about these changes in the Season 16 patch notes, but previous leaks had hinted at the possibility of an update. Now that the new animations for Wraith’s Heirloom are live, it will be interesting to see if other characters on the Apex Legends roster receive updates to their Heirlooms in the future.
The Season 16 Battle Pass of Apex Legends promises a host of exciting rewards for players. These rewards include a Wraith Skin, 7 Apex Packs, 11 weapon skins, 4 load screens, trackers for all Legends, 2 music packs, 200 Apex Coins, and a season badge, which will be available to all players for free via the Revelry Battle Pass.
Moreover, players who opt for the premium battle pass will gain access to exclusive cosmetic rewards for some of the game’s most popular Legends, such as Crypto, Valkyrie, Bloodhound, Mirage, and Rampart. These rewards will offer players the chance to personalize their favorite characters with unique and visually appealing skins.
Overall, the updated Wraith Heirloom adds even more value to an already sought-after cosmetic item. With its unique animations and personality, the Kunai Knife is sure to be a popular choice for players looking to spend their hard-earned Heirloom Shards.
Whether you’re a fan of Wraith or just love collecting cosmetics in Apex Legends, this update is sure to excite and inspire players to keep chasing that next rare drop.
